FAQ
All photographs were made by California Artist Brett Walker, from his more than 25+ year archive of negatives and digital files.
Brett's photographs are available as Limited Edition Giclee or Pigment Prints from high resolution files printed by Brett in his studio on his archival printer.
Occasionally he will make traditoinal silver gelatin black and white editions in his darkroom.
These Limited Edition Gallery Prints are signed, titled and dated on the front, and include the edition information in the print margins as well. Editions are always in sets of 5 in most of the commonly available paper sizes. Once an edition of 5 of a particular size is sold out, Brett closes that edition size and no longer prints editions at that size. All prints come shipped in a self sealing, archival crystal bag with a foam core backing. A Certificate Of Authenticity is also included with every print purchase.
Unique Artist Proofs come in a variety of sizes, usually at in between sizes from the regular editions and often on a different paper stock and maybe even printed in a unique manner different from the final editioned print. Unlike the Limited Edition Gallery Prints, Artist Proofs are uneditioned, Brett usually only prints a few of these. They're typically thought of as test or work prints as Brett is figuring out the color and contrast of an image for printing, but they are no less perfect in overall quality.
All prints categorized as Available Inventory on brettsy.com typically are on hand in Brett's studio flat files or print rack. This inventory is ready to ship within a week of ordering, where as other prints not marked as Available Inventory generally take 1-2 weeks to print and ship out.
A spreadsheet record is kept of all sold editions and available to be viewed by potential collectors.
